Reporting pages for Academic Suite or CE/Vista
Welcome to the working area for members of the BB-Testing subgroup of the Blackboard Accessibility Interest Group! This group is open to anyone interested in accessibility issues related to Blackboard products. This work area is intended to compliment the BB-TESTING@LISTSERV.UIUC.EDU. Please visit the BAIG Subgroups page for more information.
In order to facilitate accurate and timely feedback between members of the BB-Testing subgroup, it is very important to have a common area to share observations and list steps needed for replication regarding all current versions of Blackboard platforms. It is also important to report your observations in a way that can be easily understood and replicated by all.
To that end, please conduct your testing and report your observations to the Academic Suite and CE/Vista pages using the following format:
- Product and version (Example: Academic Suite 7.x or CE 6.x or Vista 4.x)
- Summary of the Problem (Example: "Navigation across frames"; use of the FAE categories is recommended)
- Steps to Replicate (please include all assistive technologies and reporting products used)
- Description of the Problem (use of the Accessibility Evaluation Form is recommended)
- Attach screenshots when available
After issues have been identified and replicated by members of the BB-Tesing group, a ticket will be submitted to Behind the Blackboard. When the Blackboard case number is issued, the Blackboard Accessibility Issues and the CE/Vista Issues pages will be updated to include all known information and will continue to be updated as information becomes available.
Select the Academic Suite or CE/Vista page to report your findings. Please evaluate accessibility and usability features of the Blackboard platform(s) used at your institution and record your findings on the appropriate page.
